The Situation

Coastal living requires a greater degree of ecologically and economically advanced energy resources.

The Goal

The Perry Institute for Marine Science is a traditional leader in environmentally sound energy sources. Our goal is to set an example in "eco" living for coastal communities worldwide.

The Approach

The Perry Institute for Marine Science is working with a coalition of leading technology companies to design and implement a new energy solution for Lee Stocking Island. This new solution will utilize wind power and fuel cell energy generation to minimize impact on the island's ecology.

The Result

Projects are currently in development that will make Lee Stocking Island an example for other nearby islands in the Bahamas, for island nations throughout the Caribbean and coastal communities in Florida and around the United States.
